Powerman Spain consists of a 10km run, 60km bike and a 10km run held in the cycling paradise of Mallorca, the choice of my 2018 season opener.
After a hard block of winter training and with no expectations I was pretty excited to put the fitness levels to the test along with my new Yonda Shade speedsuit.
09:10 the hooter went off and it was go time! Into T1 and I was in joint 1st place, although passed by an uber rider and Dutch Powerman superstar. We soon both passed the home favourite and 2nd would be the position I would hold right through to the finish chute.
It definitely was a tough battle between some fast girls, so I was stoked to make it onto the podium in my first outing of 2018, hopefully a sign of a positive strong season ahead.
I was super impressed with the performance of the Yonda Shade speedsuit.
Not only does it look great, after 3hrs racing in some pretty hot conditions in my opinion it is a true podium suit:
