The all-new 2020 Ghost II is the most performance enhancing and flexible wetsuit we ever built.
We have designed the ultimate performance wetsuit that optimizes your body position and works with your body (not against it) delivering an unparalleled feeling as you cut through the water.
Known for its unrivalled flexibility we have added our exclusive 59:59™ to the V-Force Flex System™ and Y-Stretch™ side panels improving power transfer from hips to shoulders enhancing each strokes propulsive force and reducing surface friction.
4 way stretch ,flexible and durable neoprene.
Yonda’s exclusive NEW exclusive 0.5mm high tech neoprene is as flexible as Yamamoto 40 cell, but is also very strong and durable thanks to its unrivalled high tensile properties. It is the most innovative neoprene available today making the Ghost II the toughest of competitors.
Vector catch panel
This hydrophobic fabric panel is like a second skin on your forearm that sensitizes the vital catch phase at the front end of your stroke giving you enhanced ‘feel of the water’ and improved propulsion. Alternative suits with full arm neoprene prevent you feeling the catch and create added resistance in the catch phase.
Y-stretch side panel ™
To increase hip rotation flexibility even further Yonda has introduced the Y-Stretch side panel™ (using state of the art 59:59™). This unique feature panel allows you to reach and stretch without any force pulling against you. This prevents shoulder and arm fatigue and reduces heart rate therefore making this the most efficient suit on the market in its class.
V – Force Flex System ( VFF ) ™
To increase hip rotation flexibility even further Yonda has introduced the new VFF system TM. This new panel (now using 59:59™ ) gives the wearer even more efficiency and enables maximum arm reach and stretch without any force pulling against you. This prevents arm fatigue and reduces heart rate therefore making this the most efficient suit on the market.
Yamamoto is the world leader in wetsuit neoprene and prides itself on quality and innovation. Renowned for superior comfort, suppleness and flexibility Super Composite Skin (SCS) is the benchmark for coating the smooth skin neoprene in the fastest wetsuits. SCS reduces friction and improves speed through the water. Yamamoto SCS is used throughout the suit to give the very best quality neoprene available.
Y-KICK SYSTEM ™
This suit has been designed so you don’t need to use baby oil or other lubricant to aid removal. Our unique smooth lining allows the suit to glide off the legs lightening fast.
See it in action where we challenged the suit in a real-life situation asking our athlete to put the wetsuit on, swam 100m, and take it off all within 2 minutes! Click the link for video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPTdeTRo438
YONDA use a ‘10k collar’ on the neck, this new single layer collar has been tested by many long-distance swimmers without causing irritation. This soft supple fabric fits snugly around the neck giving a good seal and prevents water ingress to the suit. The tightness can be adjusted easily to personal preference with the simple Velcro tab.
Aerodome houses tiny pockets of air between layers of neoprene, which give you up to 30% more buoyancy compared to regular neoprene. Aerodome’s ‘dimple’ effect increases the hydrodynamic surface of the wetsuit, reducing surface friction and increasing speed and allowing you to cut through the water.
All our suits have a reserve style zip. Research has shown that using this mechanism is the most popular where the athlete zips from the top down. Its means other athletes can’t pull your zipper down during the swim, and the lanyard is close to your hands, so easy to access. Simply pull the lanyard up and when it reaches the top the Velcro tab opens with little effort
Historically a lot of wetsuits seams split on the hip of the suit. YONDA has developed a diagonal seam, which differs from the conventional horizontal seams. The Y shape is a lot tougher as it is pulled in three directions and off loads the stress in the critical areas of the suit.
Tailoring your wetsuit leg is becoming quite common. Some individuals like to take up to 5 inches off the suit legs to free their ankles up and allow for a leg kick that is just below the surface of the water. You will notice 3 lines on the inside of the leg of every YONDA suit which can be used as a guide to tailor your suit without damaging the stitching.
