YONDA GHOST SR
Incorporating the key feature of the award winning Ghost wetsuit, the SR offers outstanding flexibility, speed, comfort and durability along with Yonda’s unrivalled build quality.
The removable arms allow you to adapt to the changing environment without having to cut the suit.
The SR comes with a compass and front inner and rear internal pockets.
Using Yamamoto 1.5mm Cell 39 AQUA PULL neoprene in the arms, shoulders, underarm and separate arms you will not find a more flexible suit. Add the 7mm Aerodome thigh side panels where you wont need to carry a pull bouy and other features such as front zip for ultra lung expansion and comfort on the run and a high tenacity nylon backside panel for sliding down the slopes we have everything covered to give you the edge.
Key Features
Vector catch panel
This hydrophobic fabric panel is like a second skin on your forearm that sensitizes the vital catch phase at the front end of your stroke giving you enhanced ‘feel of the water’ and improved propulsion. Alternative suits with full arm neoprene prevent you feeling the catch and create added resistance in the catch phase.
Y-stretch side panel ™
To increase hip rotation flexibility even further Yonda has introduced the Y-Stretch side panel™ (using state of the art 59:59™). This unique feature panel allows you to reach and stretch without any force pulling against you. This prevents shoulder and arm fatigue and reduces heart rate therefore making this the most efficient suit on the market in its class.
Yamamoto SCS
Yamamoto is the world leader in wetsuit neoprene and prides itself on quality and innovation. Renowned for superior comfort, suppleness and flexibility Super Composite Skin (SCS) is the benchmark for coating the smooth skin neoprene in the fastest wetsuits. SCS reduces friction and improves speed through the water. Yamamoto SCS is used throughout the suit to give the very best quality neoprene available.
Y-Kick system ™
This suit has been designed so you don’t need to use baby oil or other lubricant. Our unique smooth lining allows the suit to glide off the legs lightening fast. 10k Collar
YONDA use a ‘10k collar’ on the neck, this new single layer collar has been tested by many long-distance swimmers without causing irritation. This soft supple fabric fits snugly around the neck giving a good seal and prevents water ingress to the suit. The tightness can be adjusted easily to personal preference with the simple Velcro tab.
Aerodome
Aerodome houses tiny pockets of air between layers of neoprene, which give you up to 30% more buoyancy compared to regular neoprene. Aerodome’s ‘dimple’ effect increases the hydrodynamic surface of the wetsuit, reducing surface friction and increasing speed and allowing you to cut through the water.
Reverse Zip
All our suits have a reserve style zip. Research has shown that using this mechanism is the most popular where the athlete zips from the top down. Its means other athletes can’t pull your zipper down during the swim, and the lanyard is close to your hands, so easy to access. Simply pull the lanyard up and when it reaches the top the Velcro tab opens with little effort
Y-SEAM
Historically a lot of wetsuits seams split on the hip of the suit. YONDA has developed a diagonal seam, which differs from the conventional horizontal seams. The Y shape is a lot tougher as it is pulled in three directions and off loads the stress in the critical areas of the suit.
