Pierre t’ Corre – the honorary Yorkshire-man in Partnership with Yonda Sports
French born Pierre Le Corre took up swimming at the age of 6 and was always interested in Athletics. By the time he was 16, Pierre had moved to Philadelphia, USA where he discovered how much he enjoyed running. Having experience in swimming and running steered Pierre towards triathlon.
By 2013, at just 23 years old, Pierre won the U23 World Championship title which was quickly followed by landing the French national title in 2014 and 2015. By this time, Pierre was also in the top 10 triathletes in the world. As a credit to his dedication, strength and drive, Pierre also took first place at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow and is now looking ahead to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Yonda founder and owner, Angus Greenwood says “We weren’t out there looking to partner with any athlete, so when Pierre got in touch through hearing about our wetsuits from his manager Alexia you can imagine we were very happy to show Pierre what the G2 could do.”
Pierre was interested in finding the bestwetsuit which suited his performance, his style and would also enhance his swim. After a conversation with Angus about the suit materials, build and major advances of the Ghost 2 wetsuit, Pierre wanted to give it a try. Needless to say, he was impressed!
It was great to see Pierre making his Ghost 2 debut at the recent Leeds WTS, and he had a great swim coming out of the water 4th - 5th. On T1, Pierre had a lightning fast transition with the suit flying off which meant that he was 2nd on the bike and in a perfect position to read the race ahead.
Being a young but ambitious brand from Yorkshire means that Yonda aren’t afraid to try new things. We listen to our customers, the feedback they give and we genuinely care and help where we can. We believe that Pierre chose to work with Yonda Sports as we can think like a triathlete. We believe in flexibility, marginal gains and understand the elation of a podium place. We know what it means to you, so it means a lot to us! This is why we’re now making Pierre Le Corre, our honorary Yorkshire-man, Pierre t’ Corre.Follow Pierre on social media:InstagramTwitterFacebook
